Visionary Painting: Open the Doorway & Step into Creativity Instructor: Susan Feathers Saturday, May 4, 10am-6pm & Sunday, May 5, 10am-5pm Adult Level Fee: $265 (includes $25 materials fee, which will be purchased by instructor for all participants) Encounter the blank canvas as a doorway, which we open - a veil through which we invite and draw forward a vision. Through the canvas-doorway discover a Divine Being from your personal story or mythology who would like to partner with you. This Being would like to come into shape, color, and form on your canvas. You will pull them through the veil. Spend a weekend... Engaging your intuition Exploring your inner vision and creativity Discovering symbol Uncovering the image Healing and transforming through the medium of painting I will walk you through the process from start to finish. Facilitating you on an inner journey where you have access to insightful personal and visionary content. We will work with paint and canvas as tools for invocation. Creating a visionary painting from a blank canvas to a completed painting using a simple process of color application that includes: color blocking, blending, paint layering, glazing, and adding details. Bring your vision to life! Anyone can paint! This weekend is OPEN TO EVERYONE! There are No Prerequisites or special talents necessary for this workshop (although I know you have many special talents that you bring!) BIO: Susan Feathers, M.A. | Shamanic HealER & Creative Artist Susan is a shamanic practitioner at Fearless Flame Healing in Marblehead, MA & Lafayette, CO and an artist in the world. She has communed with the spirit world since she was a child growing up in the Berkshire Hills of Western Massachusetts. There in the wild rolling hills Susan encountered the face of the Divine and embarked upon this human journey of body & soul, of healing and transformation. Susan’s creativity was nurtured early. She was challenged and encouraged by a beloved teacher, Lyalya Herold, who first sang the praises of the creative heart. Lyalya blew the embers of Susan’s creative spirit, keeping that flame of creativity burning and alive. Susan seeks to carry on this tradition, to gently blow the embers of creativity and healing alive in each person’s soul. Susan is devoted to nurturing deep healing via the Shamanic & Creative Arts, Ritual & Ceremony. Her background and training is in contemplative & somatic psychology (Naropa University), women’s spirituality (Institute of Transpersonal Psychology), meditation, art, and the shamanic arts.
