Join Marblehead Museum Director Lauren McCormack to discover the diverse and fascinating history of 157 Washington Street, the neighbor to the Jeremiah Lee Mansion. Trace its history from its days as a Jeremiah's Lee brick kitchen and a possible dwelling for enslaved people, to its later history as a series of shops, headquarters of the Mugford Fire Association, and the Fred Litchman Photo Studio. You'll also get a preview of plans for opening a new exhibit and welcome center in 2025 inside the building, to honor the diverse Marbleheaders who once crossed its threshold.
