The Holiday Buoy Festival is a new Christmas Walk tradition, now in its second year!
Local lobstermen will construct a ‘tree’ with their traps on the harbor at State Street Landing in advance of Christmas Walk weekend. The Lobster Trap Tree will then be festooned with festive, colorfully painted buoys.
All children in the Marblehead community (ages 6+) are invited to hand paint their own buoy during workshops. Adults are welcome at the November 13 evening class. The Lobster Trap Tree will be on display throughout Christmas Walk weekend!
Participants will be able to take the buoy home to enjoy or gift after the event.
