Forest Bathing: An Art & Nature Experience Instructor: Peyton Pugmire Sunday, June 23, 9:30am – 1:00pm Fee: $65 Be a part of this unique experience in which nature meets art! Forest bathing, or shinrin-yoku, was developed in Japan during the 1980s and has become a cornerstone of preventive health care and healing in Japanese medicine. Spending time in the forest has been scientifically proven to • Boost immune system • Reduce stress • Improve mood • Increase energy levels • Improve sleep • And more! During this re-invigorating workshop, participants will connect with the spirit of nature through a mix of activities including • A healing walk through a nearby forest • Creating a group nature mandala • Guided meditation during which you will connect with the Spirit of nature • Drawing • Journaling Join us! Come get some fresh air and exercise, and let your creative spirit roam free, inspired by this fun outdoor experience. There will not be a lunch break during the workshop so participants are encouraged to eat a good breakfast and bring a snack and water bottle. Participants are also encouraged to bring a backpack or small bag, dress in layers (including hat), and wear appropriate shoes. If necessary, Creative Spirit will be in touch with all enrolled 24 hours in advance if weather forecast is questionable.
