Seeking 2018 Community Award Nominations!
The Marblehead Chamber of Commerce Nominating Committee seeks nominations for the 2018 Community Awards. Each year, the Chamber recognizes individuals and businesses whose commitment to the community of Marblehead goes above and beyond. This year, the Chamber once again requests participation from the community in nominating individuals and businesses whose commitment to the Town of Marblehead is outstanding. To nominate a "Business of the Year" please only submit businesses that are members of the Chamber.
Nominations are due on Friday, July 13 by 5 PM. For information about previous winners, to review current Chamber members or to download the form, please visit www.marbleheadchamber.org. Awards will be presented at the Marblehead Chamber of Commerce's 66th Annual Meeting at the Corinthian Yacht Club on Thursday, September 20.

Stop by The Abbey Studio Calligraphy Studio & Shop for Merry Meeting this Saturday. Merry Meeting is free, open studio time for anyone interested in trying calligraphy or learning more about the craft.
There are demonstrations during most Merry Meetings and this Saturday's demo will be on the Copperplate Script style of lettering. This beautiful Victorian era script is used for invitation envelopes and other stationery items.
Can't make it this Saturday? Try for the next Merry Meeting on July 14 when the demonstration will be on using Sealing Wax.

Looking for a creative and hilarious evening of comedy this Saturday night? Accidentally on Purpose Comedy Improv Troupe will improvise a laughter-filled night at Marblehead Little Theatre.
The unique AOP style is similar to the hit TV show "Who's Line Is It Anyway" and is complete with audience interaction!
Come and be prepared to offer suggestions for the group, then sit back, watch the laughter and madness ensue as the troupe puts your suggestions to work in hilarious improvisational scenes.
Audience members contribute ideas and suggestions to the troupe, and (only if they desire) can also join the comedians onstage to participate. The results are unpredictable, timely, high-risk, and often brilliant!
This R-rated comedy evening will feature the talented local improv troupe, lots of funny scenes and just plain fun! Doors open at 7:30 pm, and the show starts at 8. Tickets cost $15 and may be purchased at mltlive.com, at the Arnould Gallery or at the door if available.

We'll be gathering at the beautiful seaside home of Lynn Nadeau at 10 Surf Street to celebrate our successes, talk about our goals for the coming year, and enjoy each other's company on a beautiful summer evening in Marblehead. There will be food and drink and some special surprises.
