The Board of Directors of the Marblehead Chamber of Commerce announces that Deb Payson, Executive Director, will be stepping down from her position at the end of January.
“Deb has been an asset to us all and has helped to inspire the Chamber and our business community. While we are sorry to see her go, we are fortunate to have benefited from her leadership,” said George Barbuzzi, President of the Board of Directors. “The Chamber will build upon the leadership of Deb as we continue to advance our mission to support and enhance the business community.”
The Board has implemented a transition plan to staff the office during the interim and find a strong local candidate to fill this leadership position. The Search Committee is accepting applications for those interested in the position. Please send the following information to email@example.com:
- A cover letter with a brief description of your background and reason for interest in this position.
- A brief paragraph about your vision and 3 interesting/unique ideas for the Chamber for the coming year.
- An updated resume.
Deadline: January 26, 2015.
The board will aggressively pursue putting new leadership into place as quickly as possible.
“We don’t want to lose any of the momentum we have built up under Deb’s leadership,” Barbuzzi said, “so we plan to move quickly to find the right leader for the Chamber.”
